Shelby Valley (9-2) makes the drive from Pikeville to Olive Hill for the second time this season. Back on September 27th, West Carter (8-3) sent the Wildcats home with a 33-7 defeat. The Comets displayed a more balanced offense that night than their ground oriented opponent, and Leetavious Cline ran for 176 yards and three scores. Can West Carter break through to the third round for the first time ever, or will Shelby Valley avenge that regular season loss?

Give me the Comets and their defense for the win. That unit has been outstanding this season, especially over the past eight weeks. Shelby Valley has played really well since that loss in September, though, so I'm expecting a closer game this time.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this would be West Carter's first outright district championship in school history, if they win. They previously shared a district title back in 2015 via three way tie.

If west plays disciplined and mistake free, they will pitch a shutout

Dalton Meade for SV could be out tonight according to the Appalachian News Express. He suffered a foot/ankle injury last week vs Martian County.
