Final.

Fleming Co has been outscored in the 2nd half 59-0 in the last two games. Something Fleming is going to have to look at going forward.

Fleming hung tough for a half, but Russell just wore them down after halftime. A lot of pounding between the tackles and then the Devils broke some long runs in the second half. Russell's defense has turned Maher over a ton the last two years. Four picks last year, four or five more tonight.

Usually there's not much to complain about after a 55-7 win, but Russell's pass defense was exposed some tonight. This was the first really competent passing attack they've faced - Raceland would have been a big challenge, but the QB went down - and they got picked apart a little. They've got two weeks to shore that up, or Sammons will have a field day on the farm.

5 Interceptions and 1 fumble for Fleming.

Pass defense has been an issue some in the past as well. But they did come up with those 5 interceptions tonight against Fleming County. If you pass as much as Fleming does you're likely going to get intercepted at some point against this Russell team.

2 Home games in a row at Russell, WSAZ channel 3, the local news channel doesn't make an effort to show up and record highlights from the Russell game on their football Friday night highlight show. Yet they show up at Raceland and show highlights from their game.
