They based their rankings on the combined findings of 39 different metrics taken for each city, including average weekly work hours, poverty rates, job security, debt load, divorce rates, and suicide rates. The article on WalletHub's website has a pretty interesting clickable list where you can compare each city's total score, their ‘Work Stress’ rank, their ‘Financial Stress’ rank, their ‘Family Stress’ rank, and their 'Health & Safety Stress’ rank. Top 5 most stressful cities: 1) Detroit, MI 2) Cleveland, OH 3) Newark, NJ 4) Baltimore, MD 5) Philadelphia, PA Bottom 5 on the list: 178) Irvine, CA 179) Overland Park, KS 180) Sioux Falls, SD 181) Bismarck, ND 182) Fremont, CA Cincinnati clocks in just below the top 5 at #7. Indianapolis is at #28 Louisville is at #60. Lexington is at #123. Fargo, ND is at #176....sounds like the folks running the show up in Fargo know how to keep the folks in town nice and relaxed.
