The Vikings (37-3) have won 29 games in a row and haven't surrendered a run in 46 innings, dating back to May 11th. Ashland (23-10) has won 10 of its last 11 and is playing its best baseball at just the right time.

Rowan County won the region two years ago and is playing in the school's third straight region final, while the Tomcats will be searching for their first state tournament birth since 2013.

Can Ashland spoil what has been a dominating run through the 16th Region by Rowan, or will the Vikings continue to roll and set their sights on Lexington?

I'll be pulling for Rowan County against Ashland.

I'm going to guess that Mason Moore (8-2 with a 1.14 ERA In 49 innings) takes the mound for Rowan County. No clue who gets the ball for Ashland.

Side note: Ashland handed Rowan one of its three losses on the season. Ryan Atkins pitched a great game that night, but he just went four innings in the semis against West Carter.

Rowan is playing good baseball. I think the early season game was like 3-1. I'm sure Rowan has revenge on their mind.

Rowan had to use their ace in AJ Hacker tonight. It should be interesting to see who they pitch.

I think Ashland ends the shutout streak, but ultimately comes up short. Rowan's hitting on all cylinders right now. On the mound. At the plate. In the field. They're dialed in at the moment.
