The Tomcats topple the Red Devils in a back and forth game that saw both teams trading big innings. Russell falls to 3-13 over its last sixteen games following a 10-1 start. The pitching has really dropped off since that great start. They only allowed 23 runs through those first eleven games, but have given up 91 over their last 16.

Baseball is a funny game. Ashland beat ironton 13-1 in 5 and Ironton beats Russell 10-8 yesterday. Yet Russell beat Ashland 10-0 in 6 innings the 1st time they met and then tonights result. I know a lot depends on who pitches but pretty much the same people bat every game.
