Breathitt County gets their 1800th Win

Recommended Posts

Breathitt County’s definitely won a lot of games in their history. Back in the glory years of Coach Fairce Woods era they won the 14th region 5 straight years in the late 1950’s through the early 1960’s, and rarely lost a game. Wood’s 1967 team made it to the state tournament semifinals before narrowly losing a heartbreaker to eventual state champion Earlington, a contest that Breathitt led for most of the game until foul problems hampered them in the final minutes.
