Adam Erne scored with 1:02 left in the game to give Tampa Bay thier 5th win in a row, 13th win out of their last 14, and their 14th straight game garnering at least 1 point.

It's amazing what this team is doing, it's like they flip a switch when they need to. Defensively I know they're better than the last couple games, they need to get out of the lull they're in.

TB trailed 5-4 going into the 3rd period. Adam Erne scored 2 goals in the 3rd to get the win.

 

Nikita Kucherov picked up a goal and an assist to extend his point streak to 10 games. Tyler Johnson and Anton Stralman also scored.

 

Yanni Gourde's goal was the 100th point of his career. He had flown down a child from Quebec for the game, a fan of his and a part of the Make Wish Foundation. He presented the child with his scoring puck.

 

The Lightning keep finding ways to win. They are traveling to Anaheim, today, to take on the Ducks, tomorrow night. Anaheim is the last team to have beaten the Bolts. That was back on November 27th.

I need to add that the child that Yanni Gourde sponsored at the game, Benjamin Roy, who is suffering from a brain tumor, was the Thunder Kid for the game. The Thunder Kid is a young person who skates to the center of the ring before the game when the beginning of Thunder Struck is played. After that the Lightning take the ice. It's actually quite a site that starts every game.
