They beat Doss at home 76-53 and beat district foe Caverna on the road 82-47. Larue has been as good as advertised as they have not had a close game all year so far. The Hawks have so much size and strength that just overpowers most teams they play. Against Doss, Noah Davis led the Hawks with 23 points as he also hit 5 threes in the win. We will learn a lot about how good Larue is this week, as they will be playing in the King of the Bluegrass. 2. John Hardin (5-0): The Bulldogs proved they are a real region threat, as they won both district games this week, which included the best win of any team in the 5th region this year. They beat District Opponent Central Hardin on the road 66-58, and they beat district foe North Hardin 73-48. They don’t have the house hold name like last year, but this John Hardin team may be even better this year. Alex Matthews had 24 points and 14 rebounds in the great win over Central Hardin. Matthews has been fantastic this year as he has been a top 3 player in the region so far. 3.
