Looks like the Jackets are going to Belfry.

Third time in a row Jackets have had to travel there. This is the year for the Jackets.

Congrats to the Jackets!!!!

Our defense played one heck of a game ,They have been playing great lately ,They held Leslie County to about 175 yards of total offense 100 rushing/75 passing.

 

On offense at times they looked a little lost ,IMO our offense played right into the Leslie County's strength ,Instead of spreading it out and throwing/running the ball we tried to line up and run the football right at them.

 

 

Anyhow Great game Jackets and good luck next week against Belfry.

I want to congratulate Leslie on a fine season. You exceeded most peoples expectaions. You hung right in there til the end. Leslie went for 2 points when they could have tied the game with a p.a.t late in the game. The ref said they did not get it but IMO the ball broke the plain. But what's done is done. Leslie shot themselves in the foot on the last TD of the game for the jackets. All Bowling had to do was hike it & toss it out to the wide reciever because Leslie did not even have a defensive back on him. Congrats Jackets & good luck against Belfy. Congrats Leslie on a good season & good luck to the seniors @ the collegiate level & in life.

There were two cameras filming the game last night. On the two point conversion, you could not see it. But from the field cam, which one of our managers has, it could not have been a better view. As he was going to score, one of Middlesboro's players makes a last second dive and barely touches Howard, knocking him off course just a little bit, or he would have walked in. Anyway, HE PUT TWO FEET IN THE END ZONE, AND STUCK THE BALL OUT AND HIT THE INSIDE OF THE PILE ON!!!!!!! We watched it over and over and over. WHAT A CROCK!!!! And to beat it all, the ref was standing RIGHT THERE!!!!!

It was a great game. Both teams played masterful on defense. Middlesboro's last TD was a give up one. Casey Earls runs as hard as anyone I've ever seen on the high school level. They're a great team, and will surely give Belfry a great game next Friday night.
