* WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation is expected. Total snow

accumulations of 2 to 6 inches and a light glaze of ice are

forecast. The highest snow accumulations will occur at

elevations greater than 1500 feet.

 

 

* WHERE...Bell, Harlan, and Letcher Counties.

 

 

* WHEN...From 8 PM this evening to 7 PM EST Sunday.

 

 

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Travel conditions will become dangerous.

The snow will be heavy and wet, and could lead to downed trees

* WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation of sleet, freezing rain and

snow expected. Significant accumulations of snow and/or ice are

now expected, which will lead to hazardous travel conditions. 

Scattered power outages will also be possible if much of the 

precipitation happens to fall as freezing rain. 

 

* WHERE...Portions of western Kentucky and southeast Missouri,

generally south of a line extending from New Madrid Missouri, 

to Mayfield Kentucky, to Hopkinsville Kentucky.

 

* WHEN...Until 9 AM CST Sunday.

especially on secondary and untreated roads.
