Noah Back gets fouled with 3seconds left in the game, double bonus misses both free throws.

 

Harlan Co tries to push the ball with 3 secs, Back with a bone head play reaches in to put Harlan back at the line were Smith makes both free throws to go up 2.

 

Perry inbound the ball with 1.7 seconds where Cornett launches a 3/4 court shot for the win.

Looking at the video that WYMT posted online, neither one of those shots should have counted if the clock ran the way it should. Game should have been in OT tied at 44.

The shot was definitely good.

 

Harlan county hit a half court shot to win the game two years ago in the same building against Cordia.

Why did the kid from Harlan County only get 2 free throws? Was he not attempting a half court shot? The video looked like he was fouled in the act of shooting. Just curious. Great ending to the game though.

I agree, seem like the act of shooting the ball. It was such a bone head play by Perry Central and no question was a foul but the ref called it on the ground and Harlan County was in the double bonus.

The first shot, maybe. There's no way there should have been enough time on the clock for the second shot to be good. Clock operator was asleep.
