One Great Scorer
Final from Mount Olivet. Bracken County led by 9 in the 2nd but it was all Black Devils from there.
Randy Parker
Justin Becker with 26 & 10 to lead the Black Devils. Sebastian Dixon adds 18. Ross Becker gets 11 & 12. Alex Schalch scores 10 & surpasses 1,000 points for his career. Jared Zornes leads the Polar Bears with 20 & 8 in defeat. Stats per Evan Dennison. SLICRIC
I took in this game and this is the first time I’ve seen both in person. Coach Hinson has his team playing good, hard, scrappy, fundamental basketball. Very much improved from last season. Robertson Co. is worth the price of admission. They’re capable of scoring points in a hurry. If I’m not mistaken they scored 52 points second half. Had 50+ with a few minutes to go in 3rd and ended up with 94. Impressive for sure. Black Devils size of Schalch and Becker was too much in the end. Fun game to watch
One Great Scorer
I thought Bracken County played well. Just couldn't keep up with Robertson's bigs. Tough stretch of games for Bracken County, now on the road to Pendleton on Saturday and Mason County on Tuesday.
SLICRIC
Bracken Co. did play well. Played hard, but couldn’t sustain the defensive intensity against their bigs for 4 quarters. BC going to win plenty of games this season.
All Blue
Turnovers was the key in this game, Evan Dennison had Bracken for 21, I thought it was more like 25. Alot were unforced at that.
SLICRIC
Agree with you All Blue. I thought RC’s length presented some problems but BCs guards struggle taking care of the ball. It’s early and BC is going to keep getting better
Oldercoach
Outcome as expected. RC may be one year away, or maybe not. Gonna cause some stress for 10th Region coaches this year; but, heartburn for sure next year.
