Nice statement win for JC to end the year

 

Rather happy with how Belfry played All things considered. Pirates were without six key players whether by injury, precaution, or the flu bug.

 

One of those was P/K/DE Grayson Cook, as a result Haywood went for more 4th Downs than he probably has the past five years combined.

 

Johnson Central will certainly be a force to be reckoned with in 4A. Belfry simply could not stop their Offense.

 

For Belfry, the plan is simple. Get healthy. Keep working on eliminating the little things that plague them Offensively.

 

The Pirate Defense simply is not Championship caliber, but if they can get some of these guys back maybe they can get enough stops to give a very good Offensive team a chance.

What will help is those big 8-9 minute drives to eat clock for Belfry. If you can keep the opposing offense of the field especially if they are a high octane fast pace it messes with them mentally and it leads to mistakes.
