Ashland Finishes 8-1 and Russell 2-5.

Congratulations to Ashland on winning the Kiwanis Bowl for the first time in 3 years.

Russell started an 8th grader at qb. I hope these freshman players get in get in the weight room and get ready to play varsity. The Doug Oborne kid could be a special player for Russell next year as well as Brett Mullins,Eric Billups, and Baron Ratliff for Ashland.

I've seen Oborne in person a couple of times this year with the freshman team. He's got a lot of potential.

People(Dicky Martin this time) continue to say Osborne instead of Oborne.

@DevilMayCare Why did Josh Wills stop coaching the frosh and Lance Evans take over this year?

I'm not sure. Wills may have been looking to focus more on varsity preparation. Or maybe Evans was just ready to step in and assume that role.

In fairness, it does look like a typo on Russell's roster. I think people are just assuming that there's a missing s.

On the roster filed with the khsaa they have it spelled Oborne which is the one I assume Coach Maynard filed. I see what you're talking about on the adi preview it's spelled Osborne there.
