Final.

This was a good ballgame for 2+ quarters. Lexington Catholic led 15-8 at halftime and Garrard's defense held on the opening drive of the second half. Catholic pinned Garrard deep with a really good punt and then sacked Garrard's quarterback for a safety, making it 17-8, then scored almost immediately on the next possession, pushing the score to 24-8. Garrard closed it to two scores late but could get no closer.

 

Lexington Catholic's Beau Allen is really impressive. Allen was 12-20 for 256 yards and four touchdowns. He's got good receivers, too. Garrard's defense did a decent job of containing the Catholic offense for most of the night but Allen made a couple throws that were just perfect.

 

Garrard had a hard time sustaining drives in the first half but was able to move the ball better in the second half than the first and ended up rushing for 192 yards and passing for 54.

 

Win means Catholic finishes second in the district and Garrard will be fourth.
