GRC 28 Montgomery Co 24

Featured Replies

GRC led 28-0 then Montgomery Co scored before the half to make it 28-6. Second half was all MC...a wild finish, but GRC held on for the win.

I hate to see this teams season come to an end, great season Indians... GRC @ Lincoln next week should be a great matchup

Hats of to MC and the season they have had this year. :thumb: They never gave up and almost pulled the upset.

Wow, what a game!! GRC pulled out a squeaker! Montgomery was very impressive tonight- they will be making some noise in the future! Cards gotta get focused on Lincoln-- let's put 4 quarters together next week and show what we can do!!!!!!!!!! Proud of all of you for hanging in there to get the win. Congrats, guys-- you made history. . . . first playoff win in a LOOOOOONNNG time. Keep it going!!

Congrats to the Cards for pulling this one out and holding on... Hats off to Montgomery for not giving up and fighting until the end. The first half imo was the best i've seen my cardinals play in along time. The 2nd half wasn't as good and they let Montgomery back in the game. Look to see some great football next friday up in Lincoln.

"It feels good to get the win," Clark coach Paul Columbia said afterward. "Of course, we would have liked to do better in the second half, but a win is a win. You just have to hang on, which is what we did."

Montgomery County (5-6), making its first playoff appearance in five years, fell behind 28-0, but recovered with 24 unanswered points to make things interesting down the stretch.

Why do we need to bring Motrin????? Death Valley isn't that bad-- and our Birds hung on last night . . . . . .

Great game. The Indians came up just short. I was loving it when GRC could just run out the clock but threw a pass which landed incomplete on 2nd down. Could have been one of the worst meldowns I have ever witnessed if they had lost. The Indians have improved. The line and qb Curtis did a great job. Robelle Rogers had a great game for GRC.

Great Job Coach Gooch!!! You have brought excitement to a program!!
