Congratulations to Madisonville on their district championship!!

Logan County won on the stat sheet but Madisonville won on the scoreboard. Cougars were in control until they came up short on a 4th down play inside their own 45 early in the 4th. Madisonville took advantage of the short field and scored on a 29 yard run then recovered a fumble on the ensuing kickoff and scored 3 plays later. Logan made too many mistakes late, some penalties and mishandling of the wet football a few times.

 

Seemed like maybe Logan is the better team by a little bit, but Madisonville made the big plays in crunch time. Congratulations to the Maroons on the district title.
