Who wins and why?

While the experts give the nod to UVA at home, I’m going with the Cardinals knowing Malik Cunningham is scheduled for the start. Hopefully the frosh QB along with the receivers coming in with chips on their shoulders will give the Ville the win.

I’ve tried giving the Cardinals the benefit of the doubt heading into each of the last two games. That’s over. Unless they seriously pick up some things on both sides of the ball, Cards aren’t going bowling.

I can't pick Louisville until they show me I should pick them. This is probably the easiest game they have left on the schedule. I said it in a previous thread, I'm not sure Louisville wins another game, and definitely not if they lose this game.

Louisville 27-20.

Question for Louisville fans....If The Cards fail to make a bowl game (or worse win another game), do you think they move on from Petrino? How hot is his seat?

We’re already at a point where I’m genuinely dreading what’s going to happen today between 12:30 and 4:30... or maybe 7:00? How long do college games take these days?

But short of losing the remainder of his games, lashing out at the AD and the university president, and getting into another scandal, I don’t think anything sends Petrino packing this season. First, he’s won 8 games or more in all his other seasons here and I can’t fault him for that, Heisman winner or not.

Second, despite my frustration, there’s been a lot of turnover and I’m hoping that he’s going to realize that Lamar covered up a lot of problems the last couple years and things have slowly gotten worse the further we’ve gotten away from the defenses that Charlie Strong put together.

Third, UofL’s athletic department doesn’t have the money and I don’t want them to spend it. The Jurich and Pitino mess wound up being wildly expensive and we can’t afford anymore buyouts or lawsuits. The only way they should even CONSIDER it this season is if a group of boosters shows up and says they want him gone and they’ll front the buyout funds. Even then, I don’t think I’ll want them to do it because of the path that puts the program on.

It’s getting warmer by the day, but there’s no way Louisville fires him this year, regardless of the results on the field.
