Attention Carter County Football Fans

For the first time in the history of our radio station, we have 2 teams making the post season playoffs. I have done some scrambling and bought some equipment and am proud to announce our fans will have the opportunity to hear both games. Here are our plans:

West Carter fans can hear the West/Fleming game on WUGO, 102.3fm with Tim Carper and Tom Gemeinhart. Pre-game is 7:05.

East Carter fans can hear their game on Grayson Suddenlink Cable TV channel 14 (audio only) or if you don't have cable, we are also airing that game on the internet at wgohwugo.com (just follow the webstream links on the front page.)

I know, this is a shameless plug for our station, but I really needed to get the word out there. Thanks for listening. I know its a long shot, but what a great game round 2 would be if it were East vs West!

I am not a fan of Eat or West Cater but I do applaud your station for the effort and ability to cover both teams games. I am for anything that promotes h.s. sports.:thumb:

Thanks for the kind words Rambler. We do what we do for the student athletes. The Good Lord knows we don't do it for the money!!!!

I agree, and as their slogan says, "There's nobody, and I mean nobody, that carries more sports". The Carter Co. community should be extremely proud of the radio station. It is truly a radio station for the community, and it's clear to anyone within listening range that they truly care about the kids and the community. Good luck to both teams in the playoffs. :thumb:

Again, thanks for the kind words. They mean a lot to us, we do try hard to promote our community and athletes and show that we really do care about them. In a world where many radio stations care more about the bottom line (profits) than the people who listen, I am proud that we are privately owned (not by some big corporation) and my boss gives me the ability to do as much for the kids as I possibly can. I try my best to take every opportunity to do so!

Again, thanks for the kind words, they are very much appreciated!
