Reynolds Plantation golf

Featured Replies

Just got back from three days at a friends home in Reynolds Plantation. Best kept secret in southern U.S. This development is around Lake Oconee and presently has 3,000+ homes with an avg price of about $1.5million with 6 great golf courses meandering around the lake. This development is where the affluent south live in retirement. Candidly, it is scary to see how many people can afford to retire like this.

Played once on the Tom Fazio National Course and it can only be described as spectacular and absurdly difficult. Must of had 100+ traps and greens were putting at about a 12. Shot an 84 with 5 three putts. Also, played the Jim Engh Creek Course which was just as spectacularly beautiful but the greens were more puttable at about a 9. Shot a 79 with an unexcusable quad on a brutal par 3.

Visualize the elevtion changes of Augusta National and you have the topogrphy of these courses. Don't ever pass up an invite to Reynolds Plantation. It truly is special.

Looked at it on Zillow and looked like a tin of empty lots for sale. Is this a fairly new development? Lots were 6 figures, over $200,000 for most.
