Franklin Simpson was no match for South Warren last Friday, as the Spartans turned one of Week 2's most anticipated match-ups into a 1st half running clock. Can Central Hardin become the first team to avoid a running clock versus SW this season? The Bruins (1-2) held their own against CAL for a half before the Centurions defense forced some turnovers and the offense took flight.

The worst case scenario happened friday night as Central Hardin starting quarterback Chase Elmore was injured late in the first half at Christian Academy-Louisville and, although the Central Hardin junior has to go through tests, the injury to his shoulder did not look promising. Also injured was Gavin George and Shaun Hay. Not only did the Bruins lose their top 2 offensive weapons in Elmore and George, but arguably the best defensive players as well. Coach Tim Mattingly’s worst 2018 coaching nightmare came true Friday evening and now they must figure out some key replacements for the season.
