In Week 1’s border battle between the cities of Owensboro and Evansville (IN), the Red Devils (2-0) scored a major win over Reitz, while OCath (0-2) took one on the chin from Evansville Memorial. Even in the midst of an uncharacteristic down year, Owensboro still managed to drill the Aces 47-12 a year ago.

Here's an interesting subplot… Once upon a time, Owensboro QB Will Warren was the star signal caller for the Aces. He appeared to be on his way to being an all time great at Catholic before school and player parted ways.

OHS has to be a big favorite in this one right now... They have 2 quality wins out of the gate and OC has struggled against some quality opponents. Still haven't heard if the field will be ready in time at Steele Stadium... sure hope so because Owensboro Catholic could use any advantage they can get right now. It will be very interesting to see the plot of Will Warren vs. Owensboro Catholic.
