The Apollo Eagles are coming off from their best season in over a decade, matching a 7-4 record that was last achieved in 2006. They started off the 2018 campaign right posting a 47-12 win over 6A Mulhenberg County. This week the Eagles cross the pond and play Mater Dei in Evansville. The Wildcats are ranked 8th in the 2A division in Indiana even though they only return six starters from last season. For what it's worth their JV team finished last season 8-1, so the expectations are high for the young Wildcats. Who wins this one and why?

I think most will pick Mater Dei in this one, but I think I'm going with the fighting Phillip Hawkins in an upset!

If Apollo can run the ball at least fairly well, I think they can make enough plays to steal one in Hoosier Land. Hope I'm right!
