August 15, 20188 yr What do you expect from the teams in the B1G this year? Division winners? Champion? Sleeper teams? Teams destined to take a step back?
August 15, 20188 yr Author Do we know who the coaches are yet? Seems a few are on leave. Based on the timeline OSU gave us we should have an answer no later than Sunday, but this seems poised for a Friday at 4:30 news drop. Maryland doesn't figure into the equation anyways IMO.
August 16, 20188 yr Author The whole conference is 1 giant question mark and realistically I can see 5 different teams winning the B1G this year. The Big 10 East is going to be a bear to get through. Ohio State and Penn State are the two best teams but Michigan State is really close behind and a lot of people believe Michigan is right there as well. I need to see it before I believe it from Michigan but they face ND week 1 so we should have some answers really soon. Ohio State and Michigan State avoid Wisconsin so I think that gives them a slight edge on Penn State and Michigan. When it comes to the West, its already a foregone conclusion IMO that its Wisconsin and everybody else. Jonathan Taylor has a great chance to end up in New York and they are just a more talented team than everyone else in the west. I like what I saw from Nate Stanley last year at QB for Iowa. I don't think there is enough talent there to make a real difference, but who am I to talk bad about Iowa? :lol2: How realistic should the expectations be for Scott Frost's first year at Nebraska? I definitely think they'll be a bowl team but beyond that I'm not sure. Championship game: Wisconsin vs. Ohio State Champion: Ohio State (Did you expect me to say anyone else?)

Do they rally behind Urban Meyer’s firing? I kid, I kid. Urban isnt going anywhere and I think it’s the Buckeye’s to lose.
August 16, 20188 yr Author I am picking Penn St. No problem with that, but based on what? Outside of Trace McSorley they have very little experience returning. I think Penn State will be really good, but of the 4 Big 10 East teams they are the least experienced by a large margin.

As far as your Buckeyes, they are definitely a playoff contender, but, at the moment, I feel there is just too much other noise going on.

Penn State also lost their OC to Miss St so at least on the offensive side of the ball it’s hard to tell what to expect from them with a new OC. The noise at OSU is going to be silenced one way of the other no later than Sunday and most likely tomorrow.

Also, return 4 starters on the offensive line. Where they lost starters are on defense, where they lost 9 starters.
August 16, 20188 yr Wisconsin and OSU division champs. Wisconsin conference champs and playoffs. Sleeper Purdue. Just because I like the coach.

Where they lost starters are on defense, where they lost 9 starters. They return 4 starters from what most considered to be a bad offensive line line year. They should be better. Penn State has recruited well and is a talented team and I personally think they are a top 5 team in the country, but this is all speculation on mine and yours part. Penn State definitely has the most question marks.

August 16, 20188 yr I’m just ready for some damn football. Haha As I said in earlier post, I am ready for Sept. 1
