This is a bit of a schocker. :scared:

who is Tilghman going to play in the first round?

This is a bit of a schocker. :scared:

Shocks me...

Not a shock to me....I thought this would be a pretty even game...The Tigers have had issues on the defensive side of the ball all year and relies heavily on big plays on the offensive end and Tilghman is a speedy team that can run you down and slow down the big play capability...

Hoptown didn't play well in the 1st half and PT looked better playing in the conditions. 2nd half was a little better effort by Hoptown but 2 special teams miscues did them in. Tilghman played with more emotion and Hoptown went through the motions.

The score is surprising, but the outcome isn't all that shocking, or shouldn't be. Tilghman has shown genuine improvement since an 0-5 start that wasn't as bad as it seemed, with two of the losses in overtime and another one to a Graves County team that Tilghman is about even with.

In optimum conditions, this game is probably a shootout, with both teams putting up points. The rain and wind took away both teams' passing games, and Hoptown has a little more in the way of weapons to work with.

The game was a defensive battle until a punt that went off the foot of a Hoptown player on the 5, giving the Tornado a gift touchdown and a 13-6 lead early in the fourth quarter.

Tilghman's run defense did a good job containing Emanuel Taylor for most of the night and the small, quick defensive line did a good job pressuring Hoptown's QB when the Tigers were forced to go to the air.

Hoptown had five fumbles and lost two, while Tilghman did an excellent job taking care of the football after an early interception that the receiver bobbled on a perfect pass.

It will be a big surprise if these two teams don't meet again in two weeks.

Hopkinsville has the power back and power running game and Tilghman isn't known for their offensive line prowess. I'm shocked Tilghman won, as one would have thought the Tigers would handle the weather conditions better. Congrats to the Tornado!

Tilghman does have the power running back in Michael Jones, who had tacklers bouncing off of him all night ... Jones had well over 100 yards and two touchdowns.
