Sparta Kentucky - Louisville Holy Cross Cougars graduate Ben Rhodes wins the 2018 Buckle Up In Your Truck 225 at Kentucky Speedway.

Rhodes' Crew Chief, Eddie Troconis, made the call on a green flag pit stop with 25 laps to go to only take fuel and no tires and that decision was the difference as Rhodes finished just ahead of Stewart Friesen to win at Kentucky Speedway in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.

Here is an interesting fact about Rhodes from Wikipedia:

(Rhodes) finished high school with a 3.98 GPA despite missing classes due to his racing career. He missed the school's graduation ceremony on May 15 because he was in Iowa to prepare for his Xfinity Series debut the next day; the school's president traveled to the race to present Rhodes with his diploma during driver introductions.

Congrats Ben! You are officially my Favorite NASCAR Truck Driver.

The win puts Rhodes in 6th place in the Driver Standings and guarantees him a spot in the playoffs.

Our very own Ben Rhodes won again last night in Charlotte.  From NASCAR.com and Ben Rhodes on Facebook:

CONCORD, N.C. – Grabbing the lead from Carson Hocevar after a restart on Lap 111 of 134, Ben Rhodes pulled away to win Friday night’s North Carolina Education Lottery 200 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Rhodes, the ninth different winner in 11 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series races this season, also collected a $50,000 bonus for winning the first of three events in the Triple Truck Challenge, a bonus program that could mean $500,000 for a driver who can sweep all three.
