Drew is a fine player, no doubt. And, I'm not necessarily saying he doesn't deserve such recognition. However...

 

Determining an honor such as "Player of The Year" on strike outs alone seems to miss the mark. There are MANY traits and accomplishments that establish a player as great. E.g. offensive production, overall defense, clubhouse leadership, to name a few. Probably one of the more important aspects of such an award being objectivity of the jury.
