Ram Posted April 17, 2018 Posted April 17, 2018 What does Lewis County need to do to improve in 2018? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.
newarkcatholicfan Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 (edited) With seven starters returning on each side of the ball, one would have to think this teams has to improve on their 2-8 record in 2017. Garrett Applegate is back, the leading rusher from last season. He will have to do a lot more and has to be used in a passing game, that has to be found. 44.8 points allowed per game is awful, no matter how you twist it. The defense has to be at least 50% better, if they are to have any hopes of improving in 2018. With so many returners, that should be doable, especially if they can get more players involved on both sides of the ball. Edited August 8, 2018 by Jumper_Dad
All the Right Moves Posted August 8, 2018 Posted August 8, 2018 Lewis has 32 on their KHSAA roster with 12 seniors. Offut will be greatly missed. They could pick off a few early wins but Greenup Co as the opener will be tough along with the last 4 games of the season (West Carter at home and road games at Bath County, Russell, and Mason County). A playoff berth is possible if they can pick off Fleming Co at home and Pendleton Co on the road.
newarkcatholicfan Posted August 8, 2018 Posted August 8, 2018 My brother dates a employee of Lewis County and she said things are gone as they have for a long while at Lewis.
