Daniel Bryan cleared to wrestle again

I'm guessing he partners with Shane McMahon to take on Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn at Wrestlemania.

Daniel Bryan has been medically cleared by WWE. In a press release issued to media this afternoon, including PWTorch, WWE says after two years of evaluations by leading medical experts, Bryan has been cleared to return to “in-ring competition.”

Bryan has spoken out against being prohibited from wrestling, and contended publicly that he was doing everything WWE asked and he had independently been given a green light by specialists he had seen to the point of being at peace with returning to action without fear or long-term health risks.

Tonight Bryan is scheduled to speak on Smackdown regarding Shane McMahon taking an indefinite leave as the (storyline) commissioner of Smackdown. Since Bryan has been medically cleared – and there are no notations in the press release of any restrictions on his schedule – he likely will be leaving his post as an assistant to McMahon and return to a role exclusively as a wrestler. Bryan's contract runs out, I believe, in September. He has reportedly been cleared by every doctor under the sun except for WWE's medical folks. It's been reported that Bryan is adamant on returning to the ring & has wanted to do so in WWE. He apparently gave WWE an ultimatum & they recently gave him the nod for a match where he would take very, very few bumps. Bryan refused, so evidently WWE caved or they somehow met in the middle.

 

Either way, this is huge news for Wrestlemania, but more so for WWE as a whole.
