February 20, 20188 yr Watched this last night. Really made me wonder what type of NFL career he would have had had he not been diagnosed with leukemia. Imagining an NFL backfield with him and Jim Brown. Dang.
February 20, 20188 yr I love this movie. My wife graduated from Clearwater High, but until her family moved to Florida, Mrs. S was raised in Elmira. She went to Thomas Edison High, not Elmira Free Academy, though. An interesting factoid. Elmira Free Academy was right across the street from its arch-rival Southside High. Due to budget cuts in 2011 the 2 schools had to combine their sports programs. Eventually, Elmira Free Academy was made a middle school and renamed Ernie Davis Middle School. Southside became Elmira High School. The EHS sports teams are called The Elmira Express.
