Bobby Hale and Tristan Miller had 16 points each for Russell (13-13). Brandon Rose had a big 4th quarter to finish with 13. Austin Clark added 10. Miller was already tops in the 16th Region in 3-point shooting (50%), and his percentage will only go up after connecting on (I think) all of his attempts tonight.

Chase Villers led Ashland (21-4) with 14. Devaunte Robinson had 13 and Cade Brandt pitched in 11.

Just a huge win for the Red Devils to springboard them into the post-season. I really don't think this was a fluke. When Russell plays with this kind of team effort for four quarters, they're capable of beating anyone in this region. Hale, Clark, and Miller can make shots, and Jachimczuk and Rose give you a little bit of everything. Whitt gives them another big contributor when he's rebounding and running the floor.

Gotta reset their focus for Lewis County in the district 1st round. Tonight could be the start of something great, or they could be cleaning out their lockers in a few days.

Congratulations to the Devils, wsaz news channel 3 had the score flipped and had Ashland winning. I just happened to check Russell's twitter and saw Russell won.
