The meet is scheduled for Saturday, February 17 at UK's Nutter Fieldhouse.

The qualifying standards for this meet are high, and historically there has not been a lot of representation from NKY. Please see page six of the meet packet for qualifying standards. The meet schedule may be found on page seven. http://cache.milesplit.com/user_files/794174/ukhs2018_info.pdf

A very quick look at indoor performances in Kentucky this year by NKY athletes that would qualify:

Lamail Borders, Conner - 200 m.

Ashlyn Vanlandingham, Conner - mile.

Sophia DeLisio, Simon Kenton - mile.

Kyle Mastin, Simon Kenton - 2 mile.

Logan Blaut, St. Henry - pole vault.

There may be others who qualified in meets in OH, IN, TN? I'm not sure provisional qualifiers could use performances from last year's outdoor season.

Entries are due next Tuesday 2/13, and provisional qualifiers may be accepted soon thereafter. Additional meet information can be found through this link - UKTRACK.COM, and click on "MEET PAGE."

Sidenote - I really miss the Mason-Dixon Games.

Dalton Kindt from Mason County threw 47-02 today at the Indoor meet. That would get him in the field.

Northern Kentucky results -

Kyle Mastin of Simon Kenton was Northern Kentucky’s top finisher. The Pioneer senior won the 2 Mile race in 9:22.61, the top time by a Kentucky athlete this indoor season. The defending Region 5 3A Cross Country and 3200 Meter champ shaved a massive 26+ seconds off of his PR. Congratulations Kyle!

St. Henry’s Logan Blaut, the state’s #3 ranked Pole Vaulter, finished 12th with a 12’6.25” clearance. Logan is the defending Class A state champion.

Additional performances by Northern Kentucky athletes (with this season’s state performance rankings #):

Girls -

* Sophia DeLisio, Simon Kenton - (KY #9) finished 27th in the 2 Mile with a time of 12:30.49.

* Maddie Bloemer, Ryle - Ran a (KY #3) 9.42 in the 60 Meter Hurdles, finishing 23rd in qualifying.

Boys, all from Conner-

* Peyton Fairchild - Broke ten minutes in the 2 Mile with a 9:57.77 (KY #10) and finished 12th.

* Jack Murphy - Placed 20th in the 2 Mile in a (KY #18) 10:16.88.

* Lukas Rumminger - Placed 29th in the Mile with a (KY # 17) 4:38.08.

* Hunter Mitchell - Placed 29th in the 800 Meters in a (KY #8) 2:03.27.

Congrats to all the runners! I made down with my son to watch it was amazing to see all these athletes compete. Should be an exciting year in nky when the outdoor season starts. We have some very talented athletes.

Is there any reason Lamail Borders from Conner and Dillon Perry from Cooper didn’t run in the event? They both had qualifying times?
