Greatest Survivor Players Of All Time?

Russell probably doesn't make my top 20. As more seasons go by I realize how awful his strategy truly was.

Let’s Go. Let’s hear your logic about how Parvati controlled HvV.

Let’s Go. Let’s hear your logic about how Parvati controlled HvV.

First off. He has gotten two out of a possible 18 votes in the two times he has made the finale. In his third season he didn't even sniff the merge. So...not good.

She destroyed him. She got more votes. He gave her immunity idols while she had one in her pocket he didn't know about. Also, it was his horrible idea to take Sandra to the finale instead of Jerri.

Let's not forget one HUGE thing too. Russell had a massive advantage going into HvV. I believe almost everyone, yourself included, forgets that. If he hadn't had that advantage we wouldn't even be having this conversation.

I just watched Cook Islands, Micronesia, and Heroes vs Villains in the past 2 weeks. I have a really difficult time believing Parvati should be ahead of Russell. In Micronesia they went to a final 2 instead of 3 because 2 people left with injuries and 1 quit. They had to fill up day 38. If that doesn’t happen, Cirie wins Micronesia. Then I still can’t get over how bitter that jury was in HvV. It’s really sad to be honest. Russell controlled the entire game and the only reason Parvati made it that far in the game was because of Russell. He saved her and their alliance 2 times with idols and got Danielle, Parvati’s biggest ally, voted off which made Parvati forced to stick with Russell. Jury management is so overrated and it has hands down cost some of the greatest players ever from winning the game. It would be like Tom Brady not winning the Super Bowl because the teams he beat in the playoffs still being butt hurt about losing.
This is one of your arguments FOR Russell over Parvati? She played him like a damn fiddle. Got him to give her an idol when she had one in her pocket. Russell was clueless...

She didn’t beg for the idol he gave it to her. So what she kept the other one a secret. If he hadn’t given her the other one then Jerri would have went home because Parvati gave the first idol to Sandra who didn’t get any votes.

I’ve made my opinions clear on Russell getting spurned. Even if they had watched Samoa he still should have won Samoa anyways. What’s the difference between him and Tony Vlachos? Intelligent jury members is the correct answer.

HvV was the greatest season pre-merge ever. Russell got out who most consider the greatest survivor ever (myself included), and did it in large part by getting a future winner to make one of the most boneheaded decisions of all time. He revolutionized the game as we know it by finding idols hidden around camp with zero clues. He played idols very liberally because he knew he had a strong chance of finding another one. He aligned with people who wouldn’t vote him out. He got Danielle voted off so Parvati never had numbers to vote Russell off even if she wanted to. Then he won final immunity which was the only way he could have made the finals. Every single facet of the game he dominated and controlled start to finish, two seasons in a row. So he doesn’t deserve a million dollars because he hurt some peoples feelings. Give me a break...

No, the correct answer is one is a winner. :D

You think he randomly decided to give her an idol? C'mon....

So, are you just going to COMPLETELY look past that he had a major advantage going into HvV?!?!

No, the correct answer is one is a winner. :D

One is a winner because the jury wasn’t bitter. They are the same exact player. Both controlled every vote start to finish, both were idol fiends, both were cocky and arrogant, both flipped on their alliances several times, both took people to the end they felt they could beat. One is a winner and one isn’t. They played the same game.

He didn’t randomly decide to give it to her, he gave it to her because she was in trouble.

Your honor, I rest my case...:D

So saving his alliance members. Twice. Is somehow a knock on Russell now? Russell needed Parvati to stay to keep his numbers and you somehow equate that to her controlling him? In what world?

In the world where she wasn't in trouble. You know, that idol she had of her own...
