Big win for the Cardinals, this Little team plays good basketball!

Fun game to watch. Started out hot, lasted a half. Then got careless with the ball in the 3rd quarter and played lazy defense on and off throughout the rest of the game. But in the end hung on for a hard fought and well deserved win

Nice win Mayfield! I've been saying all season that this Region was absolutely stacked, and it is. Tilghman, Mayfield, Graves, McCracken and Marshall can beat a whole lot of good teams in this state.

 

Gonna be a lot of fun the rest of the way. We'll all add a few losses to each others totals before it's all said and done.

I agree. Going to be a great Regional tourney at MSU this year. Have heard that Mayfield and Paducah may not get to play in the regular season though because Mayfield will more than likely be headed to the All A state tourney when they are scheduled. Why it was scheduled then I do not understand that. Will be a shame to not get to see Mayfield-Tilghman play during the season. I think these 2 teams are the best in the region and two of the best on the side of the state

JH played this game without Wright and of course Witherspoon and still had a chance to win that game down to the very end.....Mayfield played great and deserved to win but I don't know if they could win (all things equal) against the better teams in the state.....just my opinion

I agree with you. We are a small school and are frankly just excited to have a solid team this year. We are definitely not known as a basketball school. But we have a heck of a team this year with only one senior on our team and will definitely be making some noise in the All A state tourney. A trip to Rupp later in the year would just be icing on the cake even though we fully expect to have a great shot at getting there
