The Brossart Lady Stangs used 15 of 17 free-throw shooting in the second half to establish separation and then drawing off to the 46-34 win in the championship game of the Stephanie Wilson Memorial Holiday Tournament conducted the past three days at Ben Flora Gym in Bellevue, Ky..

 

In the championship game the two teams were knotted at 19s at halftime, with Brossart managing a thee point, 27-24 edge after three periods.

Senior Allison Schultz put up five of her game high 13 points in the final stanza, Junior Olivia Schultz scored all six of her points in the same timeframe, and Marie Kiefer scored five of her 12 points on the night in the final period.

 

The win avenges a 67-61 overtime loss suffered by the Lady Stangs back on December 1st.

 

Allison Schultz and Taylor Moore were named to the All-Tournament Team.

Freshman Marie Kiefer was tabbed the tournament MVP.

 

Keylasia Pouncey and Addison Viox were named to the All-Tournament team from Lloyd.

 

With the win the Lady Stangs improve to 8-4 on the season and will host Newport Wednesday night in Alexandria.
