No suprise here !

The surprise was how poorly Middlesboro played, turnovers and penalties will have to be reduced to make a serious playoff run but they have the talent and speed to go along way.

Middlesboro is the most penalized team in SEKY!!!

 

We average about 13 penalties a game (Some are good calls BUT most are suspect).

 

They have been a couple of games this year where the ref's threw the flag but if we didn't get a 1st down or a score they would wave it off but if we did get a big run or a score they called it (Seriously) it's that bad down here.

 

Don't know why but ref's around don't like Middlesboro but it's starting to get really old and I've never been one to criticize the ref's.

Mboro had two nice TD's called back at Knott last Friday - a diving catch in the back of the EZ by Breeding and a run by Earls where he hurdled a standing defender on his way to 6. Tonight the prettiest catch of the night -a juggling TD catch by Dalin Farr - was called back. All of these were "phantom" calls - no visible violations.

Well I tried to resist but couldn't. Do you realize how many pass interference penalties were NOT called tonight on the Jackets? Well, plenty, but now don't get riled, I'm not saying it made the diff, cause it didn't. Harlan had opportunity and failed to put points up. For every time the Harlan recievers were interfered with, there was another just overthrown pass or dropped ball, so load up, point at foot and shoot. The defense played well for the most part. Actually in first half, defense only allowed one TD.Jackets are so well balanced, the D is very good, and so many weapons. After playing Breathitt and Middlesboro, I'd give the Jackets the nod.

I'm sorry, but Middlesboro is getting a little taste of their own medicine. Everytime Breathitt has ever went to Middlesboro they have recieved "alot" of questionable calls........Anyways great win for Middlesboro. At this point I would have to say the region favorite will be the winner of next weeks game.

That Middlesboro bunch has received so many favorable calls over the years that now they expect them and are mad when they dont get um.:lol: it could be all the woofing some of there players like to do is coming back to bite them.
