Bishop Brossart 50 Berea 7

Featured Replies

In the only Saturday high school football game played in the Commonwealth, Brossart utilized their seniors on Senior night.

Seniors Bryce Donnelly, Connor Moffett, Reid Neufelder, Reuben Stamper, Bradley Moore, and Jack Howard all scored touchdowns.

The Mustangs sent the game to a running clock with 3:03 remaining in the first half. The JV unit played out the second half. Berea took the opening kickoff of the third period and maintained possession for the entire quarter before scoring a touchdown early on in the fourth quarter. The Brossart 2s countered with 7:52 to go in the game when Adam Orth completed a 55 yard drive with a 14 yard run.

Junior Bryan Duffy had a big night with five consecutive PATs and a 37 yard field goal - his fifth of the season.

Berea, winless since October 10, 2014 are often their own worse enemies, mis-handling snaps and hand-offs. They have a few skill players around which to build a more competitive team.

The Brossart Mustangs head to Sharp Middle School next Friday night to contest the "Battle of 27" then on to Raceland for our annual playoff date with the Rams.
