October 15, 20178 yr Nikita Kucherov became the first Tampa Bay Lightning player to score in the first five games of a season in a 2-1 win against the St. Louis Blues at Amalie Arena on Saturday. Tyler Johnson scored for the Lightning (4-1-0), who won all three games on their homestand, and Andrei Vasilevskiy made 28 saves.
October 15, 20178 yr Author Nice backhander by Kucherov! Also funny listening to this guy struggle with his name. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eXBoZ3ZEhvc
October 15, 20178 yr Nice backhander by Kucherov! Also funny listening to this guy struggle with his name. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eXBoZ3ZEhvc That was one slick goal. Even the uninformed sportscaster should be able to easily pronounce Kucherov. I missed this game, as I attended the ECHL opener for the Cincinnati Cyclones last night. Even the NHL on TV is better than watching ECHL hockey in person. Kind of sad I missed this on the tube. I'm flirting with the idea of buying tickets to the Lightning vs Jackets game in Columbus on Thursday night and making the trek up there. I'd love to see Kucherov, Stamkos, etc. in person. Just need to find someone who cares enough to go with me.

October 21, 20178 yr Did you end up making it to the Lightning/Blue Jackets game Thursday night, @Mediocre Nachos? Nobody would go with me. Hockey is a crazy sport where you can outshoot your opponent 2:1 and still get shutout 2-0. Sergachev is a bad man. Your guys are legit contenders. The Lightning are climbing the ranks on my list of “drop what you’re doing and watch” teams.
October 21, 20178 yr My 14 year old daughter is upset with me because her team, the Kings, are in Columbus tonight and I’ll be at Rupp tonight to watch the Foo Fighters show. I finally get someone who wants to go and I have to turn them down.
