11th Region

Featured Replies

Putting Scott Co in with the private schools....WHY!! I do like their chances every year. I think Scott Co will be leaving the 11th in 2009. Remember where you heard it.

Where do you think SC will be moving? Many people have wanted to see Frankfort, Franklin Co. and Western Hills move to 8th region for years, but they remain in the 11th although geographically the 8th makes more sense.

The 8th will welcome them back with open arms.

And......the basketball season for Lexington Middle Schools begin in the end of January or first of February. It is over by March. These kids are in the gym for just about two months, that being middle school basketball season.

This is a disgrace!

I agree!!!

This does nothing but promote mediocrity.

The public schools in Fayette County are on one hand refusing to play Lex Cath and on the other making Lex Cath more attractive to parents with kids that want to improve their basketball skills.

Just two years ago they finally let Fayette Co middle school teams play in a non Fayette Co tournament. All the Lexington schools are now allowed to play in the KBA Middle school state tournament. Trust me if it was not in Lexington they would not be allowed. Its a shame it has come down to this for these athletes. You are right schools around the Lexington have now got fat with good players because the Fayette Co school keep taking away games. The main problen in the school system is they are broke and there is no money for any sports in the whole school system.
