Final.

Both defenses played well, which caused both offenses to look out of synch. Corbin committed way too many penalties at crucial times, something they had better clean up or they will likely lose the next three games.

The winning team shot themselves in the foot too much , or else it's more like 35-0.

Where was that high powered offense at?

Corbin better be glad they are in a cup cake district and have a cupcake walk to semis.

Scores don't count unless there put on the score board. I watched the whole game and most of Corbin's turnovers were forced not mistakes. Corbin will have to get a lot better if they want to make it to state. But I did think there under size defensive line did really well. Whitley County is not a bad team and much improved and it was a good opening game for both.

I agree, you have to give credit to Whitley's defense. They made it hard on the Redhound offense all night and their defensive line controlled the line of scrimmage in my opinion. I hope that the Whitley defensive line were that good instead of the other possible reason...

Haddix will get it revved up and running like a well-oiled machine. Alcoa will be a stern test. I look for the Hounds to be better on "O." Estep is still rounding into form after the injury.

Corbin was missing a starter on the offensive line as well and like you mentioned, Estep was hardly involved in the offense at all. Whitley also had a very good defensive plan and they carried it out pretty well.
