Saw on another site that 98.9 said this morning in there news that JCHS Football may be getting turf for 2007..

Has anyone else heard this?

I was listening to that news report and to the coach's radio show and both said basically the same thing and that is a commette was being formed to look into renovating the athletic complex including the football and baseball fields the report did not go into specific details. Hopefully something will come out in a couple of months.

I "heard" that not only the football field, but the baseball field is going to get moved around and get turf.

I personally hope the football configuration is left as is, except for maybe changing the playing surface to turf. I like our bleachers just the way they are (with the addition of some fresh paint, perhaps). Central's stadium is not one of the biggest out there, but the way it is nestled down there makes it one of the prettier places to play football in the fall.

 

I would like the flaming scoreboard, though.

On 94.7, during sports, they announced Central would be getting a new multi-sport complex (or something like that).

I personally would like to see bleachers on both sides of the field. And on the turf, we could be like Boise State, but instead of blue turf, we could get gold turf with black lines that would be awesome!

From the information given before the Apple Bowl, both the football field and the baseball field are going to be rotated. Both fields will have turf. The impression I got was that everything was going to be torn down and built again. I can guarantee you one thing though...it will be nice!!!

The radio confirmed that JC will be getting turf for the football field and baseball field. New bleachers on both side of the field, and a new indoor sports complex.
