Beechwood 5 Holy Cross 4

Featured Replies

Holy Cross loaded the bases in the 7th with 1 out but couldn't score. The Indians out hit the Tigers 6-4 on the day but walks really hurt Holy Cross as 3 of the 5 runs scored for BW reached base via walk and HBP.

Holy Cross 4 6 1

Beechwood 5 4 1

WP - Schlinger

LP - Yancey

Beechwood:

Burch 2-3, 2B, HR, 3 RBI

Castleman 1-3, double, 2 RBI

Holy Cross:

B. Carl 2-4

Zimmerman 1-2, double, 2 RBI

I assume this makes today's game versus Cov Cath for the district title and top seed in district tournament play. Did Beechwood hold back pitchers for CCH?

Odd scheduling it seems to have games against your top two district competition on back to back days. Was one of these a rescheduled game?
