I'd be interested in hearing from math dudes like @Science Friction about how they think that this guy is doing this.

 

Obviously a math trick, but is there something key that you can immediately catch as to what's going on here.

 

I've seen this stuff before. Everything except the part where you add that 4-digit number and subtract your birth year is fluff, 'cause it "cancels out".

 

Kinda cute, though.
