Louisville City FC Coach Gets Extension Through 2020

James O'Connor is now under contract until the end of the decade. He was about to start the final year of his contract.

The fact that he agreed to commit to the organization tells me that he thinks they're going to build him a stadium and get out of Slugger Field sooner rather than later.

Always possible, but the mayor seems solidly in the corner of this thing and I think they'll have enough Metro Council votes to get it done as far as financing the site and construction.

Unlike FCC, we're not looking at MLS and will likely only be building a 10-12k seat facility. It won't be a particularly massive expenditure or undertaking, once the site is procured.

It's too small for one, but Tom Jurich also doesn't seem to play well with others. Won't even let the pro team play preseason or US Open Cup games in the stadium, according to rumor.
