You may assume that Podesta's resume must be filled with qualifications to land such a position with one of the nation's most prestigious daily newspapers. If so, you would be wrong. Podesta was Bill Clinton's Chief of Staff, Counselor to Barack Obama, and Chairman of the 2016 Hillary Clinton Campaign for President. In short, Podesta was not hired for his journalistic bona fides. Washington Post hires John Podesta as columnist For a newspaper already defending itself from well-founded charges of political bias, the timing of the hiring this political hack by Jeff Bezos seems strange. Granted, most of the Washington Post's subscribers are very liberal, but why antagonize their few remaining customers who are moderates and conservatives? Trump's team will just point to this hire as more proof of the newspaper's anti-Trump bias - and they will be absolutely right.

My family has to be among Amazon's best customers in our income bracket. I am an Amazon Prime customer with their Music Unlimited subscription and I use the Prime Now service for 2-3 hour grocery delivery. I also own two Amazon Echos, several Echo Dots, a Fire TV, a Fire TV Stick, several Fire tablets and Kindles, along many other devices purchased from Amazon. I quit buying the Washington Post a long time ago, so as long as Jeff Bezos does not insult me personally or kick my dogs, I have too much invested in Amazon products and services to turn back now.
February 26, 20179 yr There are few people I like less than Podesta. I am glad he was deeply involved in HRC's campaign because he became a liability...karma baby! In Bill's administration, he was one of the henchmen sent out to destroy people who disagreed with Bill...or accused Bill of sexual misconduct. I hope there is a special place down south for Podesta when he leaves this world...a despicable human being IMO...
