Let me clarify Burns is not, will not leave Spencer. He has built the program from the top down. All the way back to the 2/3 graders they are being groomed for the high school program. He has coaches in place at all levels that are focusing on player development. This program is just scratching the surface!

If shekby coach leaves would shelby go after Burns. No doubt he would take that.

Papa--your posts are really starting to hurt your credibility. First of all, and let me be clear-- Coach Burns isn't going anywhere and you can take that to the bank. And even if he was- why on Earth would he want to go to Shelby County. That would be a huge step down. I love it that people are starting rumors, because that just proves that he is a wanted man and an awesome coach. But I hate to disappoint the people in Anderson County, but I can verify to the fullest extent that he will be on Spencer County's sideline for years to come and he is very happy there. I don't think some of you really quite understand what he has coming up. Maybe you haven't been to any games, but why would he leave a team loaded with young talent to go anywhere else. How many teams in the state have two eighth graders and two sophomores getting serious varsity minutes. A third eighth grader was averaging over 20 a game on the freshman team before he broke his foot two weeks ago. And the kicker is that Spencer County is winning. Just got their 20th win tonight. Those kids aren't just good, but a couple are elite. Burns has no interest in any other jobs and you will just have to take my word on that. I know I said I was going to be quiet for a while, but when I see people that have no clue what they are talking about making completely false comments I have to give them the truth.

Cards I said nice win BUT where did I say they are better? Cates has lost team and hearing his job.

Papa, they should have went after Burns before but his name being mentioned with new Lexington school.

Holliands will probably move over to boys cause he can't coach girls.

No actually you said GREAT win. Go back and read your own post.
