After reports surfaced that Mark Stoops was set to fill his defensive line coaching vacancy with Derrick Leblanc of North Texas, it looks as though Kentucky is on the verge of completing its football staff.

According to multiple reports, Stoops will likely hire former Eastern Kentucky head coach Dean Hood as special teams coordinator and outside linebackers coach.

Coach Hood is a good hire. Good for both parties.

Welcome home Coach Hood! Great hire by Stoops. Hood is a defensive genius and coached special teams at EKU as well. Plus, he gets out of Charlotte.

Love this hire! Hard pressed to find a better man than Coach Hood. And a damn good football coach to.
