Ryle 68 Dayton 52

Featured Replies

I'm not sure how to take that score. Have not seen Dayton yet this year but last year I know they were stronger than they have been in the past.

Any insight on this game?

Dayton played extremely hard, first time I have saw Dayton in a few years. Number 2 for them is a solid player,Dayton was up one at half. Ryle came out much more aggressive on defense and Dayton had some turnovers, Cheesman got hot for Ryle, he has a nice looking shot, best of luck to both teams.

Seemed like Ryle may have been a bit flat to start, and Dayton had them lost in the half court vs the zone.

There is a lot of parity in the D3 teams this year. Dayton has a solid team and knocked off Ludlow who has ran that conference the last couple years. A number of the small schools have played with traditional "power" schools of larger divisions, but numbers, fatigue, and fouls usually catch up to them, as is the nature of small schools. Along with this result, Bellevue losing to Brossart by 6 and played Ryle tough early, Ludlow lost to St. Henry by 10, and St. Henry led Villa by only a bucket or two in the fourth before pulling away late come to mind as games that fall into this category.,There are some quality players in the small school division, with Hall and Garcia of Dayton being two of them. Will be quite a battle the next couple months for those schools.
