Really good. All sports help you with life IMO. However, football is unique and it was the sport that taught or reinforced lessons for me. I attribute my sense of loyalty, accountability, sense of being "part" of something, and work ethic partly to high school football. I'm in sales the ultimate accountability job. If you've never been accountable before it's a shocker. High school football helped prepare me for that. It also helped me realize that when I am fortunate enough to get a contract signed I was just one part of that success.

 

It certainly helped me.

I forwarded that on my Twitter feed. One of the best crystallizations of why we do what we do when people we went to college with and make much more money than us wonder why we'd 'settle' for HS football coaching. Almost makes it better that it's not actually from a coach. Glad you put this on here, Dave.
