The 8th grade was pretty much uneventful with Beechwood winning every game by at least 18pts.. In warm ups before the championship game Walter Mattingly threw down his first ever dunk. Pretty neat to see an 8th grader get one down...

Way to go BW! Good to see these pigskin powers takin' it to the hardwood. Draud is not playing 8th, right? A parent told me he thought BW 8th would be a legit threat to win state even without him. What do you think, Raiderbird?

Beechwood's 6th grade hoops team is NO JOKE! They have 4 really, really good players -- that'll be fun to watch as they grow and develop over the next few years.

Coach Russell and the Camel staff put on a great tournament. I believe this was the 13th annual tourney.
